Steven Fogel – Chairman

Steven is London based solicitor is Chairman of Sparrows Capital (an investment manager specialising in passive investment strategies), a non-executive member of the board of King & Wood Mallesons, SJ Berwin and retired as London managing partner of Dechert LLP in 2012. He is a member of the trustee board of London University and a director/trustee of the charity Motivation which provides services for wheelchair users throughout the world He advised the real estate investment sector both in the United Kingdom and internationally. Steven is also a past Chairman of the Board of the UK Investment Property Forum and was the first lawyer ever elected to chair the IPF. He has an advisory role with other organisations (including the Landon Trusts). Steven brings substantial commercial and managerial expertise to the company.

Howard Shapland – CEO

Howard is marketing and business development executive with BioVenture Development Limited and a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 13485:2016. He holds a Diploma in Business Studies and has formal training in business development, marketing management, business management and product and project development – primarily in the biotechnology industry. He has over 25 years’ experience in the field. For 15 years he held senior positions with the multinational pharmaceutical company Abbott Laboratories (US). During this time he was based in Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

His company BioVenture Development (established in 2009) provides regulatory and compliance consultancy, business and project development in the biotechnology sector. Howard has worked with International Medical Devices PLC, as Regulatory and Compliance Manager to introduce ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems to the group, CE mark medical devices and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Professor Scott Glickman – CMO

Scott is a surgically trained rehabilitation physician specialising in neurological rehabilitation having had a 30-year career in the NHS. Scott also is an award-winning healthcare technology inventor and assessor (see biographical notes). He invented the IDD system to solve a specific problem for disabled patients with abnormal bladder functions. However, in so doing it became obvious that it also would be of enormous value to able-bodied people in treating their bladder conditions.

Mark Donaldson – CFO

Mark is a professional financial manager and a qualified accountant (FCCA), Mark is working with SME’s across East Anglia. He brings with him a considerable amount of hands on experience, providing his clients with creative “out of the box” thinking. In addition to a career in practice working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to large established groups, Mark has operated as a Finance Director with a manufacturing business since 2002 and in 2009 established Mint Consult. He has worked with many companies and individuals over the past 10 years and recent projects include pricing strategies – maintaining and improving profitability, development of KPI’s and integrated MI systems, research and preparation of information for a competitive tender, preparation of interactive budgets and cash flow forecasts.
