Howard Shapland
Founder & Head of Regulatory Affairs
Howard Shapland is a founder of UroPharma and leads the company’s business development and commercial strategy. He brings over 30 years’ experience in the medical device and diagnostics sector, with a strong focus on product development, regulatory compliance and international market expansion. He is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 13485 and has extensive expertise in medical device design and regulatory affairs, including experience as a Responsible Person for Regulatory Compliance under the European Medical Device Regulations. He has held senior roles with Abbott Laboratories and has worked across Australia, Europe and the Middle East. At UroPharma, he combines regulatory, operational and commercial expertise to support the company’s route to market, strategic partnerships and scaling of the dtb-instiller platform.
Andrew Sharkey
Chief Communications Officer
Andrew Sharkey is Director and Corporate Affairs Officer at UroPharma, with responsibility for corporate communications, stakeholder engagement and external relations. He is an experienced entrepreneur and advisor with over 40 years’ experience building, scaling and exiting businesses. During his career, he has founded and developed multiple marketing and communications businesses and has acted as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business owners. He brings extensive expertise in brand development, strategic positioning and corporate communications. At UroPharma, he supports the company’s investor engagement, market positioning and broader corporate development as it moves into commercialisation.
Professor Scott Glickman FRCS
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Professor Scott Glickman FRCS is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of UroPharma, leading the company’s clinical strategy and product development. He is a rehabilitation physician with over 40 years in clinical practice, with specialist interests including neuro-urology, bladder function, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. He established the Academic Medical Rehabilitation Unit at Imperial College School of Medicine and has extensive experience across both hospital and community-based rehabilitation. Alongside his clinical career, he has developed multiple patented healthcare technologies and has published widely in rehabilitation medicine and neuro-urology. At UroPharma, he brings deep clinical insight and innovation expertise to drive the development of the dtb-instiller platform and position the company at the forefront of intravesical therapeutics.
Mark Donaldson
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Donaldson is Chief Financial Officer of UroPharma, responsible for the company’s financial strategy, operations and investor relations. He is a qualified accountant with extensive experience supporting SMEs and high-growth businesses, with a strong focus on financial control, performance management and strategic planning. He has led finance functions across manufacturing and growth-stage companies and has significant experience in equity fundraising, financial modelling, budgeting and cash flow forecasting. His background includes supporting businesses through scale-up phases, developing KPI frameworks and implementing integrated management information systems. At UroPharma, he plays a key role in capital planning, investor engagement and ensuring the financial discipline required to support the company’s growth and commercialisation strategy.
Martin O'Donoghue
Chief Legal Officer
Martin O’Donoghue is Director and Chief Legal Officer of UroPharma, responsible for the company’s legal, corporate and strategic matters. He is an MBA-qualified solicitor with extensive experience in corporate transactions, venture capital structures and growth-stage businesses. He has advised on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, banking and complex commercial arrangements, with a particular focus on MedTech, HealthTech and technology-enabled businesses. His background includes experience with leading international law firm Eversheds and senior in-house roles, as well as building and advising entrepreneurial ventures. At UroPharma, he brings deep expertise in corporate governance, intellectual property strategy, investment structuring and strategic transactions, supporting the company’s fundraising, partnerships and long-term growth.

Gabriel Korn
Operations Manager
Gabriel Korn is Operations Manager at UroPharma, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, including administration, financial processes and coordination with international partners and suppliers. He plays a central role in ensuring the efficient running of the company as it moves into commercialisation. He brings a multidisciplinary background spanning operations, IT systems, project coordination and design, with experience in managing processes across technical and commercial environments. His skill set includes bookkeeping, data management, and supporting operational infrastructure in growing organisations. At UroPharma, he supports the operational delivery of the company’s strategy, helping to ensure that internal systems, supplier relationships and administrative functions are aligned to support scale and growth.
Dr Lyubov Zaitseva
Lead Scientific Officer
Dr Lyubov Zaitseva is Lead Scientific Officer at UroPharma, responsible for the company’s scientific strategy and research activities supporting the development of its drug delivery platform and therapeutic pipeline. She plays a key role in advancing the scientific foundations of the dtb-instiller and associated intravesical therapies. She has held senior research positions at the University of East Anglia, University College London Medical School and leading academic institutions, with a focus on disease mechanisms, drug resistance and cellular pathways. Her work has included research into acute myeloid leukaemia, apoptosis mechanisms and viral biology, contributing to a strong foundation in translational and biomedical research. At UroPharma, she brings deep scientific expertise to support product development, research collaborations and the generation of evidence to underpin the company’s clinical and commercial strategy.
